Deb Canham began making miniature bears in 1981 at her kitchen table. She won a
number of International Industry awards and taught and lectured on miniature bear
making in England, America, Germany and Japan. She designed big bears for Teddy
Hermann Original and was the main designer for the `Little Gem Bears` the first miniature
bear manufacturer.
In 1996 she started `Deb Canham Artist Designs` with the aim of producing high
quality miniature animals in small limited editions. However, she wanted to
promote them as collectibles rather than `plush` and most importantly wanted to make
the whole process of `collecting miniature animals` into a fun package with a
Collector`s Club and all sorts of fun activities for collectors to participate in.

Dollshouse — 1.4 to 2 inches
Tiny velvet and ultrasuede animals, all fully
jointed, sewn, turned and stuffed.
Each comes in it`s own little calico bag.

Miniature Mohair — 3 to 4 inches
This is our largest and most specialized
range. All these pieces are made from German
mohair, fully jointed and come in a
white crome box with their own laminated
tag stating editions size and showing a
picture of the piece.

`Mini Mices`
are 2.5 inch limited
edition mohair mice. These little
characters are always just plain
cute. Their feet hands, ears and
tails are made from ultrasuede. |

We are now in our 15th year of business…. So there are a lot of pieces on this site
because many of our collectors enjoy chasing round for the older pieces and checking
out the history.
